- Urban zone structural and functional characteristics definition and evaluation of distribution and transport in lower atmosphere of point and industrial pollution sources;
- Reference levels and daily, sesonal, yearly variations of atmospheric constituents (particles and gases) assessment for Bucharest and neighbouring areas. Urban microclimate characterisation;

- Time-series analysis of NDVI from MODIS, Landsat TM and ETM satellite data for vegetation cover and pollution changes monitoring at different spatial, temporal scales for urban and peri-urban Bucharest areas.
